Financials: The accounts receivable, cash flow, budget, accounts payable, balance sheets, general ledger, cash management and fixed assets of a company are defined in financials. If a company has a number of business units - the balance sheet of each unit and the consolidated MIS and EIS reports are all derived from the data present in financials.
The various other modules are integrated to financials because every activity of a company requires a sanctioning from financials. The various production plans, sales activities and HR activities require financial entries.
HR management: The human resource is handled by the HR Management module in which the salaries and work profiles of employees are stored. The employee programs, appraisals and full and final settlements - after leaving a company are handled by the module. Employee history is maintained by a company to track people who were laid off from the company and it helps in case the company is rehiring the employees.
Inventory: In the inventory module the material, parts and various other information related to products made by the company is stored. The inventory module is one of the most important modules because it enables a company to plan future production and also keep stock of items which go below a critical level. Inventory is useful not only for manufacturing organizations but even in service sector organizations such as school and hospitals.
Project management: All the stages of a project from start to end are stored in this module.
Manufacturing: The module includes bills of materials, product design and reengineering, scheduling, shift management, workflow, quality definition, cost management etc.
Supply chain management: The management of the orders, plan for supplier scheduling, goods inspection, commission calculation is handled by supply chain management.
Production: The vendor defines material, stocks and the production plan. In the production module the various stages of production are defied, stock records, quality control methods, the assessment of manufacturing capacity, components, parts, sales forecasting etc.
Customer relationship management: The CRM module includes the entries related to sales and marketing. The information related to various products, lead generation, the calls made to clients and the backup of calls can be tracked through this module. The module also records the various marketing zones and the prospective client lists. Emails of clients and marketing catalogue can be designed in this module.
